What We Sleep With

Both Peter and Eddie go to sleep with their blanket and their stuffed animal. They also go to sleep with sippy cups of water, which is very important to Eddie not so much to Peter (I don't think Peter has ever used his and often Eddie clutches his water cup as he sleeps).
Peter's blanket was made by my cousin, Marietta. It's green and white plaid on one side and covered in all kinds of sports balls on the other. It was the only blanket given to us when Peter was born. It's the only one that was just for Peter, so it became the one I used all the time for him.
Peter sleeps with "gira'", his giraffe. I think I had him before I had kids (but not much before). It was one of the few stuffed animals we had that Eddie hadn't laid claim to, and it's adorable. Peter loves Eddie's kitty, though, and often wishes he had it at bedtime.
Eddie blanket was made by my good friend's, Camille, mom. I used it all the time when breastfeeding him in public because it's bigger than most baby blankets. It's the only blanket that I never used with Peter because it was Eddie's. Eddie got Kitty from a bookstore here in Tally almost a year ago. Eddie has dearly loved cats since before he was one. We couldn't help buying him this one when he fell in love with it at the store.

New Friends

We recently went on vacation to Raleigh, North Carolina, to visit my old roommate, Camille. On the way we stayed with my brother, William. Eddie and Peter each made a great new friend at Uncle Will's.

Eddie really loved playing with his cousin, Jeremy, who is seven months younger than he. Those seven months seemed to matter until this trip (they've never really played together before). Eddie was really sad Jeremy wasn't going on to Raleigh with us.

Peter fell in love with Jeremy's horse. It was love at first sight, the truest and sweetest love that only these little ones are capable of.

The day after Eddie turned three, I started potty training him. I figured I didn't have anymore excuses and had to face my fear (and I was scared). It was one of the easiest things I have done as a mother, and it gave me a lot of confidence and a love for growth and change. I am so proud of Edison for his hard work and his bravery. Here are some cute pictures of him in his underwear.

Peter loves wearing Eddie's undies. Every time he finds a pair, he wants them on over his clothes or diaper. Often Peter will be wearing two or three pair at a time. I love my second child's desire to do everything his big brother is doing.

Indoor Fun

All of a sudden Eddie loves coloring and all sorts of other activities you associate with kids. Peter's always liked to color. Here are some cute pictures of some of the inside stuff we've been doing.
