I think it's good for kids to dress themselves and pick things out for themselves. When do you have to step in and say no? I mean, shoes are fine, but I worry if I will be too lenient in everything- the shoes will just be the beginning :)
I think it's better to err on the side of too much babying, love, attention, and creative freedom, but am I wrong.
it gets interesting.... Gav is our fashionista (is that spelled right?) He is the one who decides who's clothes are who's even though Hunter and Gav are the same size. They've done the mismatched shoes and inside out shirts and backwards pants... at least they're dressed, Hunter went through a naked phase... that was fun.
This is bringing back funny memories. I remember Stephen, about four or five years old...insisited on wearing a wide belt around his waist. It didn't matter if the shirt had been tucked in or out. The amusing thing was he would pull the belt as tight as it would go. It looked kind of funny but he got over it.
Karen wore a tie everyday in her first year of high school. It became her trademark. Hmm...maybe they don't grow out of it. Oh well.
Ben proposed to me with a song he wrote about making a beautiful life together. My life is more beautiful than I ever imagined it could be. This blog is a record of our beautiful children, Edison, Peter, and Creegan. Their growth, accomplishments, and personalities. "It's a beautiful life. We've made a beautiful life. We'll make a beautiful life."

A shoe is a shoe, right?
