Eddie's First Fourth

Eddie enjoyed feeding himself watermelon at our ward picnic.

He really is lounging here (he is leaning back on one of his arms) while he is eating. He is watching a volleyball game. He loved that ball until it almost hit him! When it first started coming our way, he got so excited he started to clap. Then it got really close and he jumped. It was so funny!

We were nervous to "go to" the fireworks, not knowing how E would react to the sound. We planned to watch them from the car. As were driving to find a spot, they began. We pulled over in a parking lot, got out, and watched from there. The view was slightly obstructed, but we still got a really good show. Other people stopped and joined us. We were so close that the noise was really loud. It didn't seem to bother Eddie, though. He kept looking behind us to see what was back there (the noise was echoing). He was tired, so he didn't react much. He pointed when they were really glittery. He half smiled once. He danced to the noise a couple of times. It was really fun and will be a sweet memory.

Ready to go to bed!

I'm so glad you had such a family day. That's really neat- and some really sweet pictures.
